Located 3 miles north and 1 mile east of Cooperton, Union Dale School was located on a corner of the homestead of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Campbell. The first school was held in one room of the Campbell's 3 room house. The Campbell's also donated one acre of ground from their homestead for the cemetery which was just east of the school. As with all country schools, this was the center for the community activity such as Sunday School and Church, children's programs, pie and box summers, literaries, singings on Sunday nights and funerals. The school was closed in 1925.
